He Who Dies With The Most Toys

If you look at famous Hollywood celebrities and the wealthiest people in the world, how happy do they seem?  Check out the tabloids the next time you’re at the supermarket.

Are they really satisfied on the inside?

Men and women alike have literally sacrificed their families to chase their dreams, only to find the dream has eluded their grasp, and they have lost their families as well.

Even if we were able to secure these things, what do we really gain?  And at what cost?

Ever see a hearse pulling a U-Haul to a cemetery?

Of course not.  Even if we were able to buy all the toys and treasures that our  hearts desired and attained all the fame and glory that we wanted, what would it matter after we took our last breath?  None of this stuff gets to go with us when we die.

He who dies with the most toys still dies.

You can’t take any of your fame or fortune with you.  Why don’t we feel more satisfied with life?  Nothing under the sun can genuinely and fully satisfy us in the end.
