Never Thirst Again

 

We can all sense it at some level, on the inside. 

 

Every soul-craving thirst and hunger that you have, God alone can really satisfy. 

 

Fame and fortune can’t, and none of the other stuff in the world can satisfy you either.  He alone can.  This pursuit of a genuine, fulfilled life really begins, ends and centers on Him. What our soul craves, only He can satisfy.  

 

According to the Bible, God sent His Son Jesus into the world to live just like one of us for a time.  We may not be able to wrap our heads around this concept and understand it fully, but Jesus was not only the Son of God, but he was also God Himself in the form of a human being.

 

Jesus alone can satisfy.  He understands us, because He made us. 

 

 

When Jesus talks about those of us who are weary and burdened, He’s not just talking about lack of sleep and physical weariness. 

He’s talking about a deeper weariness, a weariness and burden on the soul, where you just wake up and you feel like the weight of the world is pushing down on your spirit and mind, and there is nothing you can do to release it.  

Jesus is saying that we should come to Him, if that’s how we feel, and that He can fix it.
