The Life Saver

Sometimes chasing after God and trying to follow Jesus in this effort to experience a real and genuine life, will require us to make sacrifices.

The act of saying “No” to what I naturally want, and saying “Yes” to the better things that God wants for me, may have a cost.

Other people that haven’t embraced this faith may look at followers of Jesus and say the path that they are on is for fools and morons.  When people  haven’t experienced the life that God has to offer because they have never found faith in Jesus, they may look at the sacrifices Christians are willing to make and call them idiots.

The truth is the path that God wants for us is the way to a genuine life, the best that it can be.

This is the way to satisfy every hunger of our soul and quench every thirst on the inside forever.

There are a lot of people who desperately crave a lifestyle that they think will make them happy.

Ironically, the harder they chase after that kind of life, the more that feeling of a genuine life evades them.

But if we get to that place where we are willing to embrace the life that God has for us and say “No” to the life that we would choose for ourselves, the funny thing is that we find the quality of life on the inside that we were looking for all along.
